Sedating child dental work
So much of a great experience that my oldest child asked when we get to come back again! Rabitz and his team are extremely patient and very knowledgeable. William had such a good time there - he didn't want to leave. Great selections of toys, books, stuffed animals, and movies to entertain the kids. That's with two out of three of my children being seen for a six-month cleaning.(Those words have never been uttered by my children before.) We received above excellent care and service by all at Dr. I like that staff introduces themselves by their names. They never rush and work around those children who are nervous or scared about getting their teeth clean. And despite a scary diagnosis for his parents- 6 cavities- he can't wait to go back to make his teeth healthier. And the treasure chest/balloon is always a hit with my kids. Rabitz, getting their pictures taken, inserting their name in Molly the Molar, as well as seeing their friends/classmates photos on the wall. Rabitz always has a smile on his face and is great with my kids. I love the imagination that was put into the design of the office. There are different medications which can be used, and Dr.Rabitz will choose the medication best suited for your child considering their health history and dental needs.Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child’s nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep.
I recommend him to all my friends looking for a dentist for their children. I walked away feeling comfortable with the course of care, and comfortable with being able to ask more questions and being heard as a parent. Our appointment was at 3 PM but we arrived early by 1/2 hour and they ended up seeing us early. We were seen right away, staff was very friendly, informative and great with the kids especially. Rabitz introduced himself immediately and the kids really liked him and felt comfortable. For example, showing how the spinning toothbrush works on his finger before ever putting it in his mouth.
A liquid (oral) sedative will be given to your child to drink and your child will become drowsy.
Your child will remain conscious through the procedure.
Your child will be monitored for a short time after the procedure, and will be able to go home that same day. Rabitz has hospital privileges at Community Hospital of Los Gatos and Kaiser Santa Clara.
Our experience at your office was by far the best dental experience that we have ever had. This is performed in a hospital or outpatient setting only.
